LOOKING FOR A NEW, USED CAR

Little Flower Catholic Worker Farm is
looking for a new, used car. Our
diesel Jetta, which we've been running on
veggie oil, is dying. We're
looking for another car. We'd love to find
another diesel, but would
appreciate anything. If you have or know of
a car looking for a home, please
call Sue at Little Flower Catholic Worker,
540-967-5574.

SAY NO TO WISE COUNTY COAL-BURNING POWER
PLANT

Dominion Power has applied to build a new
coal-burning power plant in the
already desecrated Wise County, VA. Now for
the
bad news: WE get to pay for this. The $1.6
billion price tag
will be passed along to Dominion's
ratepayers. The company has also asked to
be guaranteed a 14% return on their (their?)
investment.

Want to stop it?

THE PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD ENDS THIS WEEK.
FRIDAY (Dec 14). THERE WON'T BE
ANOTHER.

PLEASE go to www.CleanEnergyVA.org . Then
click the link
in the left-hand column to "Write a Comment
to the SCC" - that is, the Virginia
State Corporation Commission. The
CleanEnergy website will give you a handy
list of talking/writing points to work from.
The basic one is - we don't need
it; conservation measures would handle the
anticipated need much more cheaply,
and without guaranteeing several decades'
worth of environmental destruction.

respect for
civil and human rights, and the nurturing of
a just and tolerant society.

Presented by Tidewater Peace Alliance,
a coalition of peace and social justice
organizations.

Films and events l held at either Naro
Cinema or Studio for the Healing Arts,
Norfol, Virginia..
