Demonstration Against Giving Toys of War and Violence
WHEN: Saturday, December 12 2:00 – 4:00 pm
WHERE: At the turn-on to Wal-Mart on Hilton Heights Road
Come join us to protest the giving of toys of war and violence!
We have great signs:
            NO WAR TOYS FOR KIDS
            VIOLENT TOYS TEACH VIOLENCE
            BUY PEACEFUL TOYS
            DON’T BUY WAR TOYS
            FRIENDLY PLAY IS GOOD PRACTICE
If you share these sentiments, please join us.  It’s a great location,  
since shoppers coming from 29 have to slow or stop to turn left to get  
to Wal-Mart, and we are right on that corner in their line of sight.
Peaceful ways begin at home.  We need to instill them at an early age.

"No War Toys" Ad Campaign

Dear Friends of CCPJ,
As you may know, at this time of year, CCPJ places a 1/4 page ad in a  
local weekly newspaper encouraging parents to select holiday gifts for  
their children that do not focus on war or violence. This year we  
would like to make a greater commitment to this cause. We are planning  
to accept an offer from the Hook to place a full page, full color ad  
against war toys in their newspaper at a cost of $700.
Towards this end, we are asking for your financial support to help  
defray the cost of this initial ad placement and possibly even fund a  
second insertion later on in holiday shopping season.
Donations can easily and securely be made using a credit card (or  
Paypal) via our website.

Demonstrate for Peace with CCPJ


WHEN: Thursday, December 10 4:30 – 5:30 pm
WHERE: Federal Building, corner of Ridge and Water Streets,  
Charlottesville.
Stand with us during this season of Peace.
THERE WILL BE NO DEMONSTRATIONS ON Dec. 24 and 31 (Christmas Eve and  
New Years Eve).  We will demonstrate as usual on Dec. 10 and 17, and  
then resume in the new year on Jan. 7.
