Hi Teachers, Organizers and After School Educators,

With the end of the school year here and the hot summer underway, Paper
Tiger Television would like to remind you of its offer to present the film
"Class Dismissed" to your youth. Should you have empty timeslots at the end
of this  year, or during your summer recreation program - please consider
the following program which is FREE to you, From the Human Rights Watch
International Film Festival High School Program

and Paper Tiger TV.

Do your students need to blow off steam after that history regents?
Paper Tiger Television would like to facilitate dialogue with the young
people you work with about the way history is taught and what important
information is left out. The goal of these screenings/discussions is to
encourage youth to become more active learners. Class Dismissed (28 min,
2004) provides a critical look at how U.S. history is taught in high school,
at the myths that reduce the complexity of history into simple soundbites.
How can we alter this system to allow students to find their own place in
history and the world today, to inspire them to become active learners and
agents for social change.
