"make this netWORK" is not another meeting, it is a fun, informal event!

The bi-monthly networking event series, entitled “make this netWORK,"
creates social spaces for media makers and community organizers to
connect. Our first two events attracted over 140 people. These informal
gatherings provide a stress free environment to allow diverse
constituencies to meet and freely participate without taking on
additional tasks.

Short presentations by media groups and community organizations who
operate near to the event locations provides an opportunity for
attendees to learn about organizations doing important work all around
the city and to make the connections between media and social justice.

Each month, different organizations have the opportunity to host the
event at their organization’s offices or community centers, as a way to
be inclusive of multiple neighborhoods, communities and resources and to
decentralize the NYCGMC structure. If you'd like to host a networking
event, please be in touch.

See you there!
