What’s The Deal?
On April 19th starting at 8 PM, there will be a celebration of the power
of independent media and an attempt to keep it alive.   Deep Dish TV has
had their ‘Shocking and Awful’ series inducted at the 2006 Whitney
Biennial: Day For Night- and it will be playing until May 28th.  Despite
this crazy success, Deep Dish is in desperate need of funding in order to
stay alive!  Hungry March Band and a series of performers will be coming
together to raise funds for Deep Dish TV.

The event will start with a screening of Deep Dish TV’s ‘Fallujah’ (29
minutes), which
is being re-released on DVD, and a question and answer with Brandon
Jourdan, one of the film’s directors.   Following the Q and A, come and
drink and party with the Hungry March Band, enjoy video installations from
the Glass Bead Collective, and dance to beats from several badass DJs.
Also, get ready for many surprise guests.

Who is Deep Dish TV?
Deep Dish Television (DDTV) is the original alternative satellite network
in America and a producer of over 300 hours of topical, progressive
documentary television shows.  Deep Dish TV has received several awards
for producing cutting edge documentary programming and currently has work
in the 2006 Whitney Biennial.

Why should you come?
If it weren’t for Deep Dish TV, everyone would be stuck watching Fox News
and that’s boring.  So, get your ass up and go to the benefit.
