Hi there,

I'm with the Guardian Project [0], a free and opensource working on
privacy and security problems in the mobile space (mostly Android atm).
Nathan Freitas is our director, I believe Andy used to work with him.

We're using libsqlfs as a core piece in a project called IOCipher [1].
IOCipher provides encrypted virtual filesystems built on SQLCipher (a
version of sqlite with encryption extensions) and libsqlfs.

We then wrap libsqlfs' POSIX api in a java layer and expose it via the
java.io interface so app developers can seamlessly use traditional Java
IO in an encrypted container.

The reason for this email is that we're having trouble running the fsx
tool on a fuse mounted libsqlfs. It fails spectacularly corrupting the
container. The README says FSX passed at one point in time.

If either of you have any cycles to spare on this blast from the past,
do you know which variant of FSX you used?

Before pushing IOCipher we want to be assured of libsqf's stability, and
while we've done otherwise extensive tests that run beautifully, FSX
failing is still a matter of major concern.

Cheers,

Abel
