Thank you, Nathan!
I'd like to build orbot myself, but I'm running into the following error during
"make -C external" with libevent. I get the identical error under both Mac OS
X (10.8.4) and Debian ("testing", x86_64); I'm probably missing something
fundamental that's not mentioned in BUILD.
My steps:
export NDK_BASE=/pkg/.android-ndk-r8e-linux-x86_64
rm -rf orbot_n8fr8
git clone --recursive https://git.torproject.org/n8fr8/orbot.git orbot_n8fr8
cd orbot_n8fr8
make -C external (I fail here, during libevent.)
The failure:
...< omitted the log text before this, but I've attached the entire log. >...
automake: warning: autoconf input should be named 'configure.ac', not 'configure.in'
Makefile.am: installing './depcomp'
test/Makefile.am:12: error: using '$(top_srcdir)' in TESTS is currently broken: '$(top_srcdir)/test/test.sh'
parallel-tests: installing './test-driver'
autoreconf: automake failed with exit status: 1
make: *** [libevent/Makefile] Error 1
make: Leaving directory `/x/orbot_n8fr8/external'
These are some of the relevant tool versions:
Linux Mac
autoconf 2.69 2.69
automake 1.13.3 1.14
libtool 2.4.2 2.4.2
GNU Make 3.81 3.81
ant 1.9.1 1.8.4
Android NDK r8e r8e
Android SDK (android-15 and higher)
Would you have any tips, or is there a step I missed?
Thank you,
- David
