No, it is 14.2.3. The "a" ending was just due to a build issue when I
created the APK.

When you say on a real device, which device do you mean?

All in all, it is likely due to an issue with certificate authorities or
cipher suites on different devices. If you enable the DebugUtil debug
output, it should produce a useful message.

All of these issues have been address with Zom, which just reached
stable release 15.0.1 version yesterday.

If there are missing features in Zom that you want, you want to create
different flavor/theme/skin of Zom, that more matches what you want from
ChatSecureAndroid we can talk about that. Otherwise, I am not making any
more updates to the ChatSecureAndroid codebase.
