[guardian-dev] Gitlab moved to Google Cloud, which blocks Iran, Cuba, etc.

So Gitlab is migrating to Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and that process
means that users in all the US-sanctioned countries (Iran, Cuba, North
Korea, etc) are now blocked by Google.  Anyone know if there is a way to
turn that off?  Or do we need to put pressure on Google again to do what
they did with Google Play?
