*Good Morning from Occupy Boston*
*Fact of the Day: * Last year, thirty major corporations including Wells
Fargo and PG&E made billions of dollars but paid no
taxes<http://articles.sfgate.com/2011-11-04/business/30362563_1_federal-taxes-tax-savings-income-taxes>.
Also last year, 48.8 million Americans lived in
food-insecure<http://www.truth-out.org/hunger-tn-america-numbers/1322317958>
households.
And this year members of Congress have been trying to
cut<http://thinkprogress.org/economy/2011/10/20/349131/jeff-sessions-food-stamps-out-of-control/>
the
little life line available to those people. In sum: corporations make
billions but pay no taxes while people starve. Occupy that thought.
*News from other Occupations: *Occupy
Philadelphia<http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/calm-prevails-as-deadline-passes-for-occupy-philadelphia-to-dismantle-tent-encampment/2011/11/28/gIQABeLx3N_story.html>
and Occupy LA<http://www.reuters.com/article/2011/11/28/us-usa-protests-westcoast-idUSTRE7AQ0PM20111128>
both
remain open despite passing the official city deadlines to evict.
