*Event Highlight. *Please join us for Monday’s Community Gathering at The
Cathedral Church of St. Paul (138 Tremont) from 6-9:00pm. The Direct Action
Working Group will be hosting this gathering, so come show your support and
learn more about the working groups of Occupy Boston.

*Volunteer Opportunities/Announcements.*

*Tonight.* Outreach Meeting. 7 p.m.  SEIU615, 23 West Street, 2nd
floor.     Movement-building meeting with Boston-area community
organizations.    Every Monday for the past three months, between 10 and 20
organizers from local unions and community groups have met regularly with
representatives from Occupy Boston outreach committee to organize ongoing
initiatives.   At the moment, there are 3-4 plans in the works (town hall
meetings, specific pairings with interested organizations, ongoing
anti-oppression work within Occupy, and plans for Boston-wide mobilization
in the upcoming months).   If you are interested in being involved in any
of these initiatives, we encourage you to come to this meeting!

*Tuesday*, “Occupy the T" planning meeting 165 Broadway in Somerville (Teem
Empowerment Office) Members from OB will be meeting with Occupy Somerville
and other community organizers to discuss "Occupy the T," and the
possibility of organizing a Boston-wide response to fare hikes and transit
cuts.  We are hoping to initiate a discussion  with ACE (Alternatives for
Community and the Environment) and other organizations to help support
their ongoing work here.

*Tuesday and Wednesday*, January 10-11:   City Life / Vida Urbana Bank
Tenants meeting
6 p.m., Jamaica Plain, East Boston Every Tuesday and Wednesday, CLVU meets
with individuals facing foreclosure to assist them with legal help, plan
actions, and organize around their ongoing anti-foreclosure campaigns.
For anyone who is interested in organizing directly around foreclosure in
Boston, these meetings are a great place to start. *
