[Service-advisories] backup servers update: hardware failure of DSL modem

The problem appears to be caused by a hardware failure of the DSL modem.
We are in the process of finding a replacement. We are likely to be down
for at least the rest of the morning and possibly longer. We will
continue posting updates as we get them.
