We are now starting the final stage of our upgrade of the Kioshi server
(which houses the Malcolm and Chavez servers as well). During the
upgrade, which involves equipment swapping and movement of large amounts
of data from one set of hard drives to another, some members have
experienced latency and dropping of some services (including email) from
time to time.

All services are currently stable on malcolm and chavez (although some
members are experiencing some delay in email service). We do not
anticipate any disruption in service as a result of the upgrade work we
are currently doing and expect all services to return to normal behavior
after this upgrade is done. We expect to be finished Monday during the
day although the upgrade might extend into Tuesday.
