Hi all,

If you'd like to manage your dotfiles in a repo, this is the best way I
know of:

All you need is git (and an aliases make it convenient). It's the method
I'm using, but didn't have the reference available. No scripts or other
tools needed, but do follow the instructions carefully/make sure you
understand it - git will help protect you as long as it is set up properly.

As for Ansible, for anyone that's interested. I'd mentioned Jeff
Geerling. He's probably *the* most prolific writer of Ansible roles in
addition to documentation that there is (also being the author of
Ansible for DevOps - https://www.ansiblefordevops.com/ ). He presents
frequently at events and online as well, and has a series on Ansible at

He's also got some fun stuff about using Kubernetes on Raspberry Pi's
(aka Pi Dramble http://www.pidramble.com/ )!

Repo at https://github.com/geerlingguy

His blog is a also veritable treasure trove of a variety of DevOps,
Drupal, and other related tech: https://www.jeffgeerling.com/blog

Obviously - a highly-recommended resource.
