Hello friends,

This week, Emi from Unfiltered.coop will talk about the Japan based media
coop she started. There will be time after for further discussion.

Unfiltered.coop was created by a group of journalists and readers committed
to the values of solidarity and mutual respect. This media organization
provides an innovative model to redirect power to the people. With
democracy at the heart of the organization, ownership is placed directly
into the hands of the primary users of the business’ products and services.
With a mission to shed light on the stories that are often filtered out by
mainstream media or even, at times, reporters themselves, Unfiltered is
committed to an ethical framework that reflects its members’ lifelong
dedication to social justice through news stories, workshops and community
building.
