Thanks for the rundown Andrew

A few of these issues are features that just aren't implemented yet (splash screen setting, panic button).

One issue though, the dragging handles issue you describe, should not occur with the latest version.  Any chance that your download/install failed and you were running the version from earlier today/yesterday?

We should probably go ahead and submit bug/feature requests through github for most of these.
