This is an internal talk at Google in Mountain View, but I'll try to get
them to make the video public.
Title: Vision on Android: OpenCV Apps and Crowd Sourcing Street View
Speakers: Gary Bradski, Ethan Rublee, Peter Karasev
Host: Jean-Yves Bouguet
Monday, 2/14/2011, 3-4 PM PST
MTV-GWC1-Luna Tech Talk (aka Crave Cafe)

*This talk will be videotaped.
Abstract:
Mobile phones make computer vision sexy. We'll demonstrate Android apps
from vision as a sensor, augmented reality to crowd sourcing streetview.
A short technical overview of the OpenCV pipeline on Android will be
given along with a discussion of the pain points and a wish list. We'll
end with our vision of user generated content on streetview. Bring your
phones.
Bio:
Gary Bradski is senior scientist at Willow Garage (a robotics incubator)
and a consulting prof. at Stanford. He founded OpenCV, helped out on
Stanley the robot that won the Darpa grand challenge and helped found
the STAIR project at Stanford (Stanford AI Robot).
Ethan Rublee was a Google Summer of Code (GSoC) intern where he ported
OpenCV to Android. He's now at Willow Garage working on fast feature
detection, object recognition and ROS (Robot Operating System).
Peter Karasev was also a Google Summer of Code intern and is currently a
grad student at GaTech working on computer vision and control theory
under Prof. Tannenbaum. His primary research focuses on vision-based
control and applied large-scale numerical optimization.
