One task we discussed last week was to have a look at some of the mobile
video editing software out there currently to see if we're missing
anything from a good UI point of view.
I've combed through the Android Market in an effort to see what is out
there, and the answer is: "not much" - the most popular ones that
currently exist on Android are either for simple video trimming or
specialized tasks like time lapse creation. So there's certainly demand
out there for anyone who may want to release a good video editor for
$1.99 :)
Of course any app that is out there would pale in comparison to the
functionality of iMovie on iPad, which is really quite impressive. If
you haven't seen it, a good video to reference is embedded in their
product page here:
https://www.apple.com/ipad/from-the-app-store/apps-by-apple/imovie.html
I still do think that the general UI that Shawn and I have been
discussing makes the most sense - some of the sticking points will be
making sure that the methods we use for timeline notification are clear.
Going to work through some of these things in the next few days.
