Thanks for the quick response. One quick question for you - can the
"Solid" type redaction make the region black instead of grey? Or have
some sort of color option?

Right... need a better dialog there.

This is handled properly now, and will be in next build.

Strange. I think in general, I can do a better job of handling weird
issues with the camera/main screen, and tell the user "Please load the
photo from the Gallery, because we apparently could not access it
directly!".

Huh. Another strange mystery to track down.
