I am a journalist working with the German news agency (dpa) in Berlin. We are reporting a lot today (as probably every other news company is, too) about the new online-video, that allegedly shows US-Soldiers urinating on the bodies of three Afghan people.

While discussing the matter, we found that noone here really knew exactly, how you can actually prove the authenticity of an online-video - so we are looking for an expert, that could tell us something about this. Patrick Meier suggested you. 

Would it be possible for you to give me a short interview today in which we talk a little about how you prove the authenticity of UGC-videos - what all is necessary, how long it takes etc etc? That would be wonderful! Where and when can I get a hold of you? And if you don't have the time or don't feel like it - could you suggest someone else? 

If its better for you, you can also answer via mail - here come the questions (I would need the answers asap, unfortunately).

1.) What do you do first when you want to prove the authenticity of a youtube-video? 

2.) What other steps do you take/what aspects do you especially pay attention to?

3.) How long does this process usually take?
