I think that it's kind of funny that the journalist immediately thought
"video verification: let's get a techie to weigh in on this," because from
what I know, at least, it's a lot less technical than they might hope.  I
recall Sarah Knuckey, a professor of human rights law at NYU, explaining
the process she went through to have a pretty horrific video that was
ultimately used as evidence in an international tribunal-- I think her
story is especially illuminating on the topic.
