Interesting idea on using sensors and camera phone image to build a 3d
model of your environment...  if you can get past the malware aversion.

PlaceRaider is an experimental Android trojan developed by Indiana
University and the U.S. Navy and it’s a new variant of malware under
virtual threats that exploits a smartphone’s camera by capturing visuals.

This is how SPAWAR and the military work. They partner with universities to
get grants to create applications, hardware, databases, etc and be able to
test w/ less stringent rules.

Might be a way that we could get funding for our apps is to look for
university and government rfps.
