Hi Everyone,

You’ve probably seen the crash notifications from my attempts to use the app this morning.  I thought maybe it would be helpful if I told you exactly what I was doing when the crashes occurred.  Here’s a step by step account.

(Video #1)

1.  I started with locking the app and powering off the phone

2.  Powered on the phone and logged into the app

3.  Clicked back to the phone homepage

4.  Clicked on the app; clicked the video icon; started the camera; stopped the camera (approx. 7 second video)

5.  Clicked on the phone’s back arrow.  (After taking a video, the phone stays on the video screen, I use the back arrow to get back to the eyeWitness gallery)

6.  There was no message that the image was being processed, but the video did appear in the eyeWitness gallery

7.  Clicked back to the phone home screen

8.  Clicked on the app icon.

9.  App opened in the gallery, clicked on the app back arrow to get to the eyeWitness home page with the camera icons

10.  Clicked on the video icon

11. Received a message saying that the GPS may not be available

12.  App auto reverted to the phone home page

13.  Clicked on the app icon again; app opened up to the video camera

14.  Started and stopped the camera (16 second video; horizontal orientation)

15.  Clicked the back button on the phone (twice)

16.  Went to blank screen with progress wheel

17.  After two minutes, phone auto-reverted back to the phone home screen 

18.  Clicked on the app icon, went back to blank screen with the progress wheel

19.  Waited for five minutes, then forced quit the app.  The video appeared in the phone gallery, but not the eyeWitness gallery

20.  Logged back into the app

21.  Clicked on the gallery to check whether video was there, then clicked app back arrow to eyeWitness homepage with camera icons

22.  Received notice that GPS may not be available

23.  Clicked on the video icon

24.  Started and stopped the camera (14 second video; horizontal orientation)

25.  Clicked phone back button; went to blank screen with progress wheel

26.  Forced quit the app; video appeared in the phone gallery, but not the eyeWitness gallery

27.  Logged into the app

28.  Checked the app gallery; clicked the app arrow to go back to the eyeWitness homepage

29.  Clicked on the video icon

30.  Started and stopped the camera (approx. 10-12 second video; vertical orientation)

31.  Went to blank screen with progress wheel

32.  Clicked on phone back arrow; took me to eyeWitness homepage showing “your gallery is empty” message

33.  Clicked on gallery icon in lower right corner; app crashed

34.  Logged back into the app

35.  Received message that GPS may be unavailable

36. Clicked on camera icon

37.  Took photo

38.  Received message that “eyeWitness stopped”

39.  Clicked OK; phone went to phone homepage

40.  Clicked on app icon; clicked on the phone back arrow; went to blank screen with progress wheel

41.  Forced quit the app
