Quick summary from the scrum (and my brain):
- Beta of app is giving us good feedback on usability, performance
issues; adoption is slow, but interest is high. Need to figure out how
to encourage more beta users
- Looking into options for having media encryption off by default to
improve performance (full device encryption can be used instead),
specifically to address video issues
- Had good feedback from ICC, Physicians for Human Rights and others at
the RightsCon event; feeding into ideas for v1 final/v2 work.
- Getting our 12 month development plan in order (through funding from
our Benetech/Martus grant); with focus on multiple 3 month dev sprints,
that will include big improvements on client app, core engine and web
dashboard
- Planning conversations underway between me, Sam and Yvette regarding
WITNESS strategy for outreach, funding, etc moving ahead; More on that
as we have it.
- Guardian Project working with ACLU and MIT Media Lab students to use
InformaCam as basis of surveillance documentation, tracking project;
Mostly a design exercise, but if a real app can come of it, then great!
- JustPay app is under limited testing by GLSP group; client app is
stable, but since data set is complex (check-in/check-out of work place,
plus form data about lunch/breaks, etc), more work will need to be done
on back-end to render that out
