if we're sticking with js, we should look at 'node.js'. seems to be a great
solution for moving js workload out of browsers and into the backend.
old school javascript runs on the browser, so smaller devices (phones) can
choke, plus it has limited capabilites
node.js - is an app-engine (?) that powers google's chrome apps (which run
js within a sandbox) that allows js to be run on remote server, plus all
its libraries/operations are asyncronous, making it even faster..
looks like this oboe thing can run within node 2
