*Good Morning from Occupy Boston! *

*Fact of the Day. *Between 2008 and 2010, 30 of the largest corporations in
America spent more in
lobbying<http://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/returnoninvestment.asp>
than they paid in taxes. In industry terms they call that a friggin pretty
good ROI <http://www.investopedia.com/terms/r/returnoninvestment.asp>.

*News from Occupy Boston. *The Phoenix documents life after
Dewey<http://thephoenix.com/Boston/news/131316-occupy-everywhere/>

*News from other Occupies. *Outside the United States and over in China,
villagers tired of corruption rise up, kick the party out, and decide to Occupy
their village<http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/worldnews/asia/china/8954315/Inside-Wukan-the-Chinese-village-that-fought-back.html>.
Plus, Time Magazine named The
Proteste<http://www.time.com/time/specials/packages/article/0,28804,2101745_2102132,00.html>r
as the person of the year. Nice acknowledgement.

***Thursday, December 15th 2011*

*“The peculiar evil of silencing the expression of an opinion is that it is
robbing the human race; posterity as well as the existing generation; those
who dissent from the opinion, still more than those who hold it. If the
opinion is right, they are deprived of the opportunity of exchanging error
for truth: if wrong, they lose, what is almost as great a benefit, the
clearer perception and livelier impression of truth, produced by its
collision with error.” – John Stuart Mill*

*Today's Weather: *Rain likely. Highs in the lower 50s. South winds 15 to
20 mph with gusts up to 30 mph. Chance of rain 60 percent.

*Event Highlight. *General Assembly is tonight at 7:00pm at the Emmanuel
Church on 15 Newbury Street. Come and join the movement, see what Occupy
Boston is about and how you can help get involved.
