I haven't followed the link, but I read the quoted comment inline.
Assuming, that's all the commenter wrote, I feel the commenter is holding
back from actually saying *why *he/she believes Obscura is an insufficient
answer to the security question. And I usually associate such terse
negativity with snark. However, I think Obscura opens up a space to talk
about how burgeoning technologies come to bear on privacy, and how these
battles are fought on multiple fronts simultaneously: technological, social,
and infrastructural (which borders on the economic.) In its current
version, I believe Obscura tackles the issue on some of those fronts (partly
technological, partly social), and in later iterations, we will charge into
other fields as well.
