No, no, I think it is an excellent course to explore, and we should
figure out how and when we can implement this "pro" or "Legal" version
of the InformaCam product. I was just concerned then within our existing
commitments and plans, we were going beyond what was necessary or agreed
upon.
I think the idea of different grades of InformaCam is important, and I
am glad this discussion has led us here. Here are my thoughts on the
consumer/pro type breakdown.
- Personal: app/client-only solution for capturing verified and secure
media for personal / small business use. Perhaps even for Go-Pro type
extreme sport metadata tracking for fun and pleasure, etc.
- Witness: client+server focused on newsrooms, journalist groups that
need tools for quick verification of news story type submissions
- Civil: corporate solution focused on civil law suits, small claims,
insurance, etc, with some increased legal / auth control on back-end
- Criminal: IBA/ICC grade for criminal courts, specifically warcrimes,
global tribunal grade, with whatever those folks say is necessary
I see Knight funding "Personal" and "Witness" editions, GLSP needing the
"Civil", and IBA needing the "Criminal".
